Content marketing is driving everyone crazy. You must have heard people say or advice you “generate high-quality content to rank in search results.”
They advise you right because Google easily becomes the best buddy of high-quality content.
Even companies are searching for the best content writers, who can boost their website rank on search engine.
Of course, Content is the King, and whole digital marketing revolves around it. But before we learn the steps to create quality content, let me ask you what exactly is a quality content?
1. Is it about stuffing keywords? (No)
2. Is it about writing long articles? (Quite right but not exactly)
3. Is it about writing posts keeping your audience in mind? (Very true)
Let me explain you point number 3 in detail.
You write posts for yourself? or for your audience.? Obviously, your answer is the “for the audience.”
Your target audience is searching for a solution to their problem, come across your post and start reading it with a relief that finally they will find a proper solution and,
Oops! your blog has 2000+ words with high-end vocabulary, you have written everything but missed out on the solution part. Your audience gets frustrated and they leave, never to return again.
You missed your chance and during this process made Google upset too, so Google decided to give you poor ranking.
This happens with most of the websites. But don’t worry, this blog will help you to understand how you can generate high-quality content in just 3 steps. All you have to do is know who your target audience is.
High-Quality Content: Definition
Content which is original, useful, informative, engaging and written for the target audience is a high-quality content.
Let’s check the 3 Easy Steps To Generate Quality Content:
1. Select a topic for your post
Do a bit of research and try to identify the problem your audience are facing or can face in future. If you provide the solution beforehand, your audience will be more than happy.
Think of a possible problem and search it on google, from the related search results you will get an idea to come up with your own topic.
For example: When I searched for “how to do SEO for a website” I got the following results.
Based on these results can come up with my own topic by combining few topics like:
(a) Increase website’s SEO rank in just 7 steps.
(b) 7 Simple SEO tricks to boost website rank.
(c) 7 Proven SEO tricks that work on any website.
This is not the first post on how to do SEO for a website, but it is certainly unique because it is written from my point of view and with my experience.
2. Write Post
You have your topic ready, it’s time to write. This is a central part of your website as your target audience will look forward to your post and you do not want to disappoint them.
Make your content audience-friendly, not search engine friendly. Remember you are writing for your audience and not for yourself. Keep the language as simple as possible. Simple content is easy to digest.
People today are in a hurry and they want solution ASAP, using difficult language will frustrate your reader and they will leave the website without reading your post, even if you have the best solution for them.
Explain your point in the form of visual images, this increases interaction and your content becomes engaging.
3. Market Your Post
Marketing your post is easy, all you have to do is sharing it on social media channels. It’s that simple right.
Make attractive banners to promote your content. Give proper “Call To Action” buttons like “click here to subscribe”, “read more” and so on depending upon your post.
Visual images make the post engaging. If you are not a creative person don’t worry, put a relevant banner with text, in your own simple words. There are many websites which allow you to use their images for free, without any copyright issue. Hubspot is one such place.
Relax your mind, take a deep breath. Content marketing is not a rocket science. All you need is practice and patience. Meanwhile, understand your audience, reply to their comments, answer their queries. When you start interacting with your audience directly, you know what exactly they are looking for and writing content becomes much easy.
